Sengensama

Sengensama

There is a stone shrine on top of the mountain, called Sengen-sama. Currently, there is no mountain opening ceremony held, but local people cut the grass on the first Sunday of July every year.

The stone shrine was built in 1879 by members of the Sunomiyamura Kocho (group of worshippers from Sunomiya Village). It is on a cliff, so care must be taken in strong winds, but the view of Heisaura is spectacular.

Ishimiya was built by the members of the Sunomiya Village Association in 1879. It is on top of a cliff, so care must be taken in strong winds, but it offers a magnificent view of Heisaura.
