Iwaya Jizodo and Nail Carving Jizo

Jizodo Hall in Ryuoka. The main image of Jizo is carved into the cliff behind the hall. There is a belief in Ibotori Jizo, which is said to have been carved by Kobo Daishi with his own fingernails long ago, and is also called Tsume-carved Jizo. It is number 92 of the 108 Jizo statues in Awa created in 1872.
